My name is Chris Wolfe and I love all things RC! I grew up being exposed to all aspects of this hobby and especially love scale building and flying. My passion for this hobby has driven me to start the thercgeek.com along with this RUclips channel to provide build tips and tutorials, honest reviews, and to feature some of the cool models I see at different events. My hope is to inspire both new and experienced modelers to try something a little out of the ordinary. I'm here to help you on your journey and provide tips and tricks along the way!
For this channel, it is my goal to upload new videos most weeks (Fridays). I like to keep it fun and informative but I'm a working stiff, so sometimes the tutorial videos take longer than I'd like. Incredible RC Jet Action & High-Flying Highlights! EDF Jet Jam 2024
Check out the highlights from EDF Jet Jam 2024! It was a fantastic event with some incredible RC jet action. I had a great time flying and capturing a great assortment of the jets out there, including about the most impressive EDF F-14 Tomcat I've gotten the chance to witness. It flew incredible!

My son's landing is more nice
Looked super nice until…. There was a real B-58 crash not far from my house April 18, 1969. And it probably looked about the same. You can still find lots of bite sized chunks of the aircraft. Was the last one to crash before taking them off line and junking them.
I think that may have been one of the best stories I have listened to you tell. Amazing your dad was doing that all those years ago Sorry if I'm ignorant and didn't already know the family history.

Absolutely beautiful and looks similar to a F/A-18. How does this handle in comparison to your FMS BAE Hawk 80mm?
So this handles quite differently to the hawk. The hawk flies really nicely on the wing where this is more of a thrust flyer and is not as slippery. I’d say the hawk lands a bit easier too.

You should be working in Hollywood my man- that looked amazing, all the way until it landed- then you could tell it was a miniature, the weight distribution wasn't right. But up until that point- it looked full size.

No, this is a big yellow aircraft 1/9 scale F-15 with twin 100mm edfs.

Can this spackle be used to fill in cracks in my fuselage maybe 1/2 inch deep.
Yep, it’ll fill that assuming we’re not talking about a large 1/2” deep surface area needing filling. Just allow some extra time to dry fully before sanding.
Even though it is basic I believe you can turn off gyro. I am getting this for fun then maybe an edf
Yeah, the gyro has 3 different modes one of them being off completely. Fun bird!

The fwd programming will only show up once the model is bound to the receiver. Is the receiver bound and is the model powered up?

what kit is the F14 ?

Great video. Still having issues programming mine like this though. Using a 6-channel. Thinking I need a 8?
Yeah, in order to take advantage of the taileron and flaperon setup, you need at least 8 channels.

Mid 2000's Eflight BAE Hawk was awesome! I wish they'd rerelease it. All composite/balsa and flew like a dream.

I still have 5 Control Line planes hanging on the basement wall. Oldest is a Sterling Profile my sun flew. We put a 40 R/C motor, Servo/Receiver from an R/C truck. He controled the motor with his Car controler so he could T.O/Land/taxi. and Repete
